What is Online Authentication?
It's a service provided by the Academy of Manuscript and Autograph, LLC that enables you to get
an opinion from
our forensic document examiners as to the genuineness of your item.
An Online Authentication is a
service that covers
the obvious
characteristics of handwriting such as letter formations, spacing,
slant, line quality, measurement of slant and spacing, patterns,
proportions, connections, and the initial and terminal stroke formations,
etc.
An Online
Authentication is not a full authentication like an in- person
examination. Online Authentication will not cover ink and medium
analysis, object evaluation,
as well as the
less conspicuous characteristics including erasures, tracing,
pressure of writing, and etc.
If you are interested in an in-person examination you will need to go
to our Autograph Authentication page.
The cost for an Online Authentication is $30.00 plus $4.50 for the
shipping of your Letter of Opinion. Multiple autographs on one item
is $80.00 up to 4 autographs, any additional autographs is $4.00
each.
All items that pass our online examination will receive a Letter of
Opinion "Letter of Online Authentication" at no additional charge.
The bottom of the Letter of
Opinion "Authentication" features a light red "PROTECTED"
logo printed in heat reactive ink technology - just rub the logo
with your finger or apply other heat
source and watch it temporarily disappear. This feature adds a
second level of
defense over the AuthentiGuard - Hidden Image
Background - as the disappearing act of the logo
CANNOT be
reproduced by
anyone.
When an original document printed

must be a true scan 300 dpi, pixels/inch resolution in jpg format.
